This A.M I would like to introduce to you my former acquaintance, now official "In a relationship" with Montreal. Because every year, the girls and I make our 5 hour 30 min or so drive to 'Canada's Fashion Capital'. Our trip has 3 primary objectives:
And of course eating! Be on the look out for some upcoming posts of my fashion finds and read below as I highlight Montreal must have places to shop and places to eat.
♥ St. Viateur Bagel has been around since 1957. It is open 24-7 and sells over 1,000 bagels a day. These "World Famous" bagels are hand rolled and fired in a wood burning oven. These are the best bagels I have ever eaten. My friends and I go every time we visit Montreal to get at least a dozen or two to take home and freeze. The best thing to do is cut them in half before freezing so that you can take one out at time, pop them in the toaster oven and they taste freshly baked every time.
"Each bagel is hand rolled, boiled in honey water, and cooked in a wood fired oven that was designed to both cook and flavour the bagel. What comes out of this process is a chewy, slightly sweet bagel that is incomparable to any other bagel being made today. We have never compromised quality for quantity, and because of this we have a limited amount of bagels that can be produced each day. "~St. Viateur Bagel

♥ Stacey Zhang, If you want some quality Canadian Designer clothing, my all time favourite is Stacey Zhang. Based out of Montreal, she has two Boutiques, one on St. Catherine Street, Montreal Quebec, the other on Queen Street Toronto, Ontario. She is a mid to high end brand that is feminine, classy and creative. What I love most about shopping at Stacey Zhang is the great customer service, her team is friendly and I always get treated with first class. I also like the fact that a percentage of her clothing is manufactured locally and because it is not massed produced I have some great unique pieces to my wardrobe that people are always complimenting me on.
Famous Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich "The Reuben"
Montreal is famous for their smoked meat. Along with bagels, smoked meat has been sought after in Montreal since the 19th century, and has taken such strong root in that city, many Montrealers, and even many non-Montrealers, identify it as emblematic of the city's cuisine. (wikipedia)
