Tryst

This A.M. I wish Amy would move to Tampa!

Downtown Tampa doesn't have much going on in the evenings. Our city is so spread out and not many people live downtown so our best restaurants are mostly spread out and although we do have a few hopping parts of town, they just aren't located downtown.

Downtown St. Petersburg is a different story. They have bars, resturaunts, clubs, shops and all kinds of other fun things going on. I don't get down there often, it is a 45 minute drive from my house, but everytime I do make it I ask myself why we don't drive over the bridge more often!

Tryst Gastro Pub in Dontown St. Pete is a place I have been wanting to try out and finally got to over the weekend. It is a very chill place, playing classic rock and roll (apparently one of the owners is kin to one of the Lynard Skynard band mates) and serving a large selection of beers. My beer of choice is usually Shock Top, which they don't serve, but our waiter was very knowledgeable about the different beer selections and he brought me a Tangerine beer that I loved.

Later out on the patio at Tryst, I got to talking with a girl named Amie, who as it turns out is from Toronto! I told her all about my Amy from Toronto and we had fun chatting out on the patio. Amie is moving to Tampa and I wish her lots of luck with her big move.

Now if only I could get my Amy to move down here. Maybe she can visit and we could have a few trysts out on the town. Oh and a drink at Tryst too.
