This A.M. if you are a procrastinator and need a last minute reservation at a classy upscale french restaurant to take your Valentine, you probably won't have any luck if you are looking to dine at Bouchon. We were recently at the Las Vegas location on an ordinary Friday night and it was packed with a lively crowd immensely enjoying the french fare.

Bouchon in Las Vegas is located at the Venetian and is a little tricky to find if you don't stop and ask for directions. But once you find your way there it feels as though you have escaped from the smoke, bright lights and constant dinging of slot machines and are entering a restaurant in Paris.

Our party seemed to be craving a variety of different things when it came to ordering entrees; steak frites, croque madam, salmon.... but when it came to the starter course we all agreed we needed a couple Grand Plateau platters to go around the table. The Grand Plateau is a handsome mix of fresh shellfish fit for a king consisting of one lobster, 16 oysters, 8 shrimp, 8 clams, 10 mussels, seasonal crab and a special selection each night. When you first lay eyes on the tower being set in front of you it is an experience in and of itself.

The entrees proved to be as excellent as our starters and the service was, in my opinion, the best we had during our trip to Sin City.
