Strawberry Gentleman

This A.M. you will have to call ahead to get the password if you want to dine or have drinks at one of the most unique spots in Tampa. Ciro's is designed to feel like you are in a prohibition era speakeasy with most drinks being gin, whiskey or champagne based and the people serving them in 20's style garb. Don't be surprised if you have to wait 20 or 30 minutes to get your cocktail, everything is made from scratch, freshly muddled, strained, some shaken and some stirred. The cocktails are well worth the wait, as they are absolute perfection in a glass. I recommend the French 75 or the Bee's Knees!

The drinks and the ambiance are not the only things that will keep you coming back to Ciro's, the food is also over the top delectable. The deviled eggs were simple yet beautifully presented with smoked salmon and caviar on top. Stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto were the perfect mix of salty, creamy, crunchy and sweet. And the comfort food. Oh my goodness the comfort food. Tenderloin sliders, duck fat fries and chicken and waffles served with two fried eggs and poblano molasses.. need I say more? Take a look at the pictures, I dare you not to crave a little somethin' somethin' from Ciro's!

Above: Jessie looking cute as can 'bee', drinking her Bee's Knees cocktail and Ginger and I looking glam, sipping our French 75 cocktails. In case you were wondering, the inspiration for the title of this post, Strawberry Gentleman, is the password I was given the first time I ever went to Ciro's.
